Heinz and Tesco are urgently recalling Heinz By Nature Baby Food due to metal fragments found in random jars

Heinz and Tesco are voluntarily recalling all 7+ months Heinz By Nature baby food range after the discovery that a single jar of baby food had been tampered with. Two sharp metal fragments were found in the jar. Only the jars in the 7+month range and purchased from Tesco are affected. The same product and same batch codes at other retail stores and in other packaging e.g. pouches are not affected.

Risk statement

The possible presence of sharp metal fragments makes this product unsafe to eat and presents a safety risk.

Action taken by the company

Heinz and Tesco are recalling the above Heinz products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.

Advice to consumers

Top football agent James Featherstone charged with alleged attack in leafy Trafford village pub

A top football agent has been charged with an alleged attack at a pub in Trafford.

James Featherstone, 39, is accused of wounding with intent.

It follows an incident at the Stamford Arms pub in the leafy village of Bowdon near Altrincham.

Police said a man in his 50s, required hospital treatment after being assaulted near the gents’ toilets.

GMP later released security camera pictures of two men they wanted to speak to in relation to the incident.

Today the force confirmed Mr Featherstone, of Oldfield Road, Altrincham, had been charged in connection with the incident along with a second man.
